Environment Agency

The Environment Agency is a non-departmental public body, established in 1995 and sponsored by the UK Government's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The Environment Agency is responsible for the protection and enhancement of the environment in England and Wales.

Working  with the North East Regional Communications Team in Leeds and York, our work has involved a broad spectrum of public-facing and corporate literature and campaign work covering a variety of issues including flood defence, angling, rivers, pollution protection and notably the highly successful North East Region fly-tipping 'SWAT' campaign.

The multi-channel Swat campaign targeted both the business community and the general public throughout the whole of the North East Region and enjoyed an estimated 25 million impacts across its 15-month duration at a cost of 0.6p per impact. Providing exceptional value for money, it was also the Environment Agency's most quoted campaign in the media. The research and evidence gathered during the project was used to secure long-term future funding.

The SWAT Campaign:
"The team at Threefold needed to quickly understand complex legislation and national policy and communicate this through an innovative multi-channel communication strategy. They have done this with ease, clearly a tribute to their intellect, experience and creativity."
