Natural Beauty 2 exhibition opens at Leeds City Museum

Fri 7 Feb 2014

Following Threefold’s collaboration with Leeds City Museum on the Natural Beauty exhibition in 2013, the agency was commissioned to work as the creative partner on this year’s Natural Beauty 2 exhibition. Natural Beauty 2 features winners and runners-up of a wildlife photography competition, inspired by the original exhibition featuring stunning photography of Leeds' natural history collection by professional photographer Sara Porter.

The original Natural Beauty exhibition attracted over 35,000 visitors, following a marketing campaign involving design and branding, exhibition treatments, leaflets, posters, outdoor and online media advertising. Threefold also created the 3D layouts, themes and graphics for both exhibitions.

Natural Beauty is a two-year project designed to inspire the public not only to visit the museum, but also to enter the Natural Beauty 2 photography competition for adults and children. Threefold’s latest remit was to work alongside the museum to promote the photographic responses to the competition that culminated in over 1000 entries across all age groups throughout the region.

"Threefold was key to the success of Natural Beauty 2. They undertook virtually all aspects of the project, including 3D planning and production management, as well as the graphic design. The end result was fantastic, and a real break from previous exhibitions in the gallery. Photographers, sponsors and the museum alike were all delighted with the outcome."
