A campaign to to help tackle poverty in Leeds

Thu 20 Nov 2014

Threefold is working with Leeds City Council to market the Money Information Service (MIC) website, www.leedsmic.org.uk, which helps educate the public about high cost lending and creates a portal for them to gain access to affordable loans and free money advice.

The campaign is part of a larger initiative by the council to tackle poverty and increasing personal debt in the city.

Research shows that debt and money problems affect people from all sections of society. The challenge of the campaign was to keep it simple, to reach out to a broad public audience with a clear and memorable message and to quickly create an understanding of what MIC is all about.

A key strength of the campaign creative was the strapline: 'Helping Leeds people with money problems'– a 'tell it like it is' inclusive message that underpins all the other campaign messages and gives an immediate context to the campaign.

The campaign elements include literature, posters, outdoor media and digital advertising.
