Threefold joins the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad team

01 May 2012

The London 2012 Cultural Olympiad is the largest cultural celebration in the history of the modern Olympic and Paralympics Movements, so when Threefold was awarded the task to work on this prestigious project, there was quite a buzz in the air!

As part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad a group of young people aged 16-23 are creating a major exhibition at Leeds City Museum called 'Treasured? Smuggled? Stolen? Saved?'. It follows the story of a selection of objects that have travelled from around the globe to the city of Leeds.

Threefold has been working closely with the young group to bring its vision to life by creating visual graphics and a campaign theme that will communicate across a range of marketing materials through to the main exhibition. The key aim of the project is to bring young people into the museum who perhaps wouldn’t normally visit. The team is inspiring visitors to discover the stories and history behind the unusual global objects.

The exhibition runs from 18 July 2002 until January 2013. More information will be available at www.leeds.gov.uk/citymuseum.
